3, Impact

During lessons, children will have fun and enjoy the tasks which will enable them to learn fundamental skills which can be applied to other areas of the curriculum and in their daily lives. Immediate verbal feedback is used to allow children the opportunity to amend and develop their skills within the lesson. There are also written activities where children will record their musical ideas and responses to their listening. The assessment milestones for each skill progression are carefully mapped out within Charanga and further broken down for each year group. Through this progression, pupils develop a breadth and depth of knowledge of music and fundamental skills required to develop themselves as rounded musicians who are confident, resilient and emotionally literate.
