Our aim for the children at Shinfield St. Mary’s is for them to develop a love for languages and an understanding of how different languages are structured. Learning Latin gives the children a firm base on which they can build so that they start secondary school feeling confident about studying a modern language. This supports our curriculum intents around enjoyment and empowerment.
