Kwik Cricket League Match

10th May 2019

For the first time ever, Shinfield St. Mary’s entered a kwik cricket league so that competitive cricket can be accessed outside of the annual tournament. St. Paul’s were welcomed for the first match and with Mr Lincoln umpiring, the children set about batting first, followed by fielding. With some inspired running between the wickets by the girls, the team finished with a total of 254 runs, beating St. Paul’s who finished with 239 runs. There are still many areas of improvement for the team but Mr Lappin is sure that Mr Lincoln will be able to get the best out of the boys and girls at Shinfield St. Mary’s in the league going forward.
