Teaching Assistant with LT duties

Required 

Hours 9:00 to 15:00 with 15-minute break & ½ hour lunch

(5.25 hrs per day; 26.25 hrs per week) Term Time Only

Scale 3 SCP 5-6, pro-rata (£19,301 - £19,698 pa, FTE) depending on experience

 

Our friendly Junior School requires a new Teaching Assistant to join our Upper Key Stage 2 supportive and talented team.

 

We are looking for people with a passion for transforming our pupils’ learning.  It is 26.25 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only, and includes lunchtime duties responsibility.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an understanding of children of this age;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with other staff members;
  • Have a good standard of spoken and written English and an understanding of Maths;
  • Have the ability to work with small groups across the year bubble, on specific skills, and alongside groups in the classroom, supporting their integration into whole class work.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain experience of working in school.  Full training will be given to the successful candidate.

 

Our school has a robust safety plan in place for the management of the coronavirus, and interviews will be conducted in a socially distanced manner, on the school site.
