Teaching Assistant X 2

Required for September 2021

Hours 9:00 to 13:45 with 15-minute break (4.5 hrs per day; 22.5 hrs per week) Term Time Only

Scale 3 SCP 5-6, pro-rata (£19,3012 - £19,698 pa, FTE) depending on experience

 

Our friendly Junior School requires 2 new Teaching Assistants to join our Upper Key Stage 2 supportive and talented team.

 These roles are required from 2nd September 2021 for people with a passion for transforming our pupils’ learning.  It is 22.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only, and includes lunchtime supervision responsibility.

 The successful candidates will:

  • Have an understanding of children of this age;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with other staff members;
  • Have a good standard of spoken and written English and an understanding of Maths;
  • Have the ability to work with small groups across the year bubble, on specific skills, and alongside groups in the classroom, supporting their integration into whole class work.

 This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain experience of working in school.  Full training will be given to the successful candidate.

Learning Support Assistant

Required immediately

Hours 08:40 – 13:45 Term time only

 

The Year Three team in our friendly junior school require a Learning Support Assistant to complement their work, by supporting a child with Special Education Needs.

The successful candidate will, we hope, have an understanding of children of this age, and previous experience of working with primary aged children with SEN. Key Stage One experience is desirable (although not essential). You will also provide some Lunchtime Controller supervision work until 1:45pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain experience of a new Key Stage, or of focused intervention work.

Our school has a robust safety plan in place for the management of the coronavirus, and interviews will be conducted in a socially distanced manner, on the school site.

This position is temporary to Christmas 2021 with the possibility of extension.  The pay would be Grade 3 SP5 or 6 depending on experience for 24.17 hours per week (8.40 – 1.45), with a mid-morning break), term time only.

Learning Support Assistant (Afternoon)

Required for September 2021

Hours 1:30 to 3:30pm (2 hrs per day; 10 hrs per week) Term Time Only

Scale 3 SCP 5-6, pro-rata (£19,3012 - £19,698 pa, FTE) depending on experience

Our friendly Junior School requires a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and talented team

This is a fixed term role required from 2nd September 2021 to 31st August 2022 for someone with a passion for working on interventions in small groups and supporting a disabled child with SEN on a 1:1 basis.  It is 10 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only.      

The successful candidates will, we hope:

  • Have some experience of working with children;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with other staff members;
  • Have a good standard of spoken and written English and an understanding of Maths;
  • Have the ability to work 1:1 with an SEN pupil, supporting their integration into whole class work.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their experience, or of focused intervention work. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
